2. Advantages over analog indicators

Since the signal is transmitted digitally, digital indicators suffer less attenuation or interference over long cable runs — well suited to truck scale or tank/silo installations where the distance from the platform to the control room can be tens of meters.

3. Expandability

A single digital indicator can connect multiple digital load cells over the same RS485 line, simplifying wiring compared to analog systems that need a separate junction box to sum the signals.

4. Selection recommendation

Digital indicators are a good choice for new installations or truck scales with long signal cable runs — the higher upfront cost is offset by long-term stability and easier maintenance.
