2. Factors affecting accuracy
  • • Lateral force from pipes/cables: requires flexible connections to avoid affecting the load cell
  • • Vibration from nearby equipment: isolation needed near mills or conveyors
  • • Wind load on outdoor tanks: needs anti-tip bracing without over-constraining the tank, which would cancel the load cell signal
3. Routine maintenance
  • • Check flexible couplings and signal cables every 6 months
  • • Clean around the load cells, avoiding dust/material buildup
  • • Calibrate regularly, especially before major intake/outtake periods
4. When to upgrade to an automatic batching system?
