KALA Digital Load Cells convert the analog strain gauge signal to a digital signal directly at the sensor, before transmitting to the indicator — offering better long-distance stability and interference resistance than standard analog Load Cells.

1. Key difference from analog Load Cells

A conventional analog Load Cell outputs a raw millivolt signal that must travel through cabling to a junction box and indicator, where it can degrade over distance. A digital Load Cell performs A/D conversion right at the sensor, transmitting a clean digital signal via RS485 — ideal for truck scales, tanks, and silos with long cable runs.

2. Wiring simplification

Multiple digital Load Cells can share a single RS485 bus connected to one digital indicator, removing the need for a separate analog junction box to sum signals — simplifying installation and reducing potential failure points.
