Counting Scales for Warehouse and Factory Weighing

Counting Scales are used for practical daily weighing tasks in warehouses, factories, logistics areas, production lines and material control points.

1. How it works

The scale weighs a small sample of known quantity to calculate the Average Piece Weight (APW), then uses this value to estimate the total quantity in a batch when weighed.

2. What determines accuracy?

Counting accuracy depends on how uniform the unit weights are and the scale’s resolution. For small parts, choose a scale with a small division (d) and use a large enough reference sample (typically 20-50 units) to reduce rounding errors.

4. Applications
  • • Counting screws, electronic components
  • • Counting seeds, plastic pellets
  • • Inventory counting instead of manual weighing
  • • Quantity control in packaging
5. Selection recommendation

If the parts to be counted have very small or widely varying weights, choose a scale with a higher resolution than the minimum requirement, especially when the total quantity is large — since a small error per unit adds up significantly.

KALA Scale provides consulting and supply of counting scales for any application, with nationwide technical support.
