1. How it works

Most Load Cells operate on the strain gauge principle. When a load is applied, the elastic material deforms, changing the resistance of strain gauges wired into a Wheatstone bridge, producing a very small voltage signal (2.0-3.0 mV/V) proportional to the applied load.

3. OIML standards & protection rating

Many Load Cells are certified to OIML R60, commonly at C3, C5, or C6 accuracy classes. For outdoor, humid environments, prioritize Load Cells rated IP68 or higher — for food/seafood applications, also choose corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction.
